There are only FIVE things that you need
to run a successful business on the internet, and there
are many substantial advantages to doing so - here are a
few:
-
You will, eventually, work far fewer hours
due to the ability to automate much of the process.
-
You will be able to work at whatever time of the
day suits you - there is no need to keep
strict hours, as there would be if you were running a
"conventional" (real world) business. Online, as long as
your products work, no-one cares whether you market
them first thing in the morning and then spend the rest
of the day with your family, or if you lie in bed until midday,
watch TV until after midnight and then do your work just before
bed!
-
You will advertise to a world-wide
market of over
half-a-billion internet users, which is
growing daily!
So, if I've whet your appetite
sufficiently, and an online business sounds like something you could
do, let's have a look at the five essential elements you will
need for your online business to succeed:
1. A PRODUCT or
SERVICE. It
doesn't much matter whether you market someone else's product or
service, or devise one of your own, but you must have
something to offer - no-one is going to pay you anything for
nothing. This product needs to be something that others will
place a value on and will therefore pay you for. Fortunately
there are lots of ways of getting a valuable product, so if you
don't have one, don't worry, that's why you're here!

2. The TOOLS of
the TRADE. These include at least an
e-mail address and an online bank account (both available for
free!), but your business might also require that you have a
website, autoresponders and myriad other tools. Fortunately,
it's very easy to get hold of more of these than you will know
what to do with, so if you don't have them, don't worry, that's
why you're here!

3. TRAFFIC. There is no way around it and no
alternative - without sufficient traffic you will not make the
sales you need to survive in your internet business.
Fortunately, even if you think that you don't even know
enough people to fill a small car, there are lots of ways to get
all the traffic you will need, so don't worry, that's what
you're here for!

4. A reliable source of
ADVICE. Yes, even with
these other things in place, there will be times when the internet
just does something that you didn't expect and can't figure out a
solution for. At moments such as these, you will need to be
able to turn to an expert, someone you can trust and who has seen
enough of the internet's weird and wonderful changes to be able
either to predict them and give you advice up-front to avoid them
or, failing that, someone who just knows (or who knows someone who
knows!) exactly what to do to get around your problem.
Fortunately, there are lots of very good people out there who are
prepared to offer up such advice, so if you don't yet know an
internet expert, don't worry, that's what you're here
for!

5. The PERSONALITY to do it properly.
I can help you with everything else you will need, but I'm afraid
that this is very much down to you. If you don't think that
you have the determination, patience, discipline and ambition
to sit at your computer for a few hours each day, perhaps more in
the early days of your business, then you need not read any
further, the internet is probably not the place for you to
make your living. However, if you have enough of all of
these qualities, you can certainly make it!
Armed with the right combination of these FIVE elements, you will be ready to
start earning whatever amount of money you are prepared for,
probably quicker than any other way available. Please remember
that it will not always be easy, especially at first, when you will
need to put in the most work. Beware of those who try to
persuade you that there is way of making money by doing nothing - if
there was we would all be doing it (or rather, not doing it!).
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the success
you can handle.
